Sase is in Shanghai, China at the fourth edition of StarsWar, the biggest Warcraft 3 event in China. While the first European team Skywalkers including Grubby and Insomnia already dropped out of the tournament, the second team Romantic Elves including 4K^ToD and mouz.SaSe already made it into the overall final.
We caught up with them both to ask Sase about the tournament so far, their predictions for the final and also about their life in China.
StarsWar IV is taking place this year at some gaming expo for the very first time, what's your opinion about the event in general?
mouz.SaSe:I like stars war very much, its alot of prestige to play. I had no idea it would in a gaming expo(it pretty much looks like games convention in Germany). It is very noisy here but somewhy it didnt effect me that much, else the conditions are good, like not too hot and so. It is always fun to play in front of fans. I also want to thank Zax for making this event.
You just won versus the Chinese team Kylin in the semi finals and therefore advance to the final which will be played tommorrow. How did it go?
mouz.SaSe:I thought alot about how to play vs TeD early in the morning. We arrived too early and had to wait as usual so I had time to prepare and do my buildorder as good as possible and after the first 10 minutes I had a big advantage and I managed to keep it all the game. Then ToD won the rest of the games so I didn´t have to play anymore.
Yesterday you two amazed the community by showing an excellent performance. Sase, you won against Moon and ToD beat Lucifer, were you surprised by yourself?
z.SaSe:I thought very much about this game and had everything prepared vs Moon and Sai(I didn´t plan to uproot my tree though). Against Fly I have to thank Zeus for some tips. I was very happy when I played, I think thats the biggest reason why I won in combination with my thinking.
Now that you've advanced to the final one player of the second European team will get revived and join your team. Who you hope it's gonna be?
mouz.SaSe:Yeah, like ToD said it will be Grubby, nothing to hope for^^
Both of you decided to move to China some months ago and so far it seems like you're quite happy about that step. Can you give us an insight into your life during the last months?
mouz.SaSe:I`ve not really been in China all the time, maybe 70 % though. The last months have been mostly practice. But also spending time with friends and girlfriend especially, except for when I was in Sweden which was really boring. A normal day is for me usually, wake up, eat something, search someone to practice with, play 10 games or so. Eat something again, practise until I get tired and then do something else until I sleep.
A lot of people wonder why you would move into a country which is known for having bad internet, are there really so many advantages which overcome that apparently huge disadvantage?
mouz.SaSe:I`m not sure if it is THAT bad as everyone thinks. The disadvantage itself is that you practise on VS client, it works kinda the same way as GGC, but its even alot better, so it really feels like LAN. Then when you go play a game at GGC, even if you only have 30 ping, it will still feel like there is delay. And then you can just imagine when you have 200. And yes, this is much better than pracising in Europe. All players in China are usually up for alot of practise. 10 games in a row without breaks is nothing special. In Europe though, most players go around 3 games and then they are done. I would also say the quality of opponents are better in China, there is alot unknown players that are very good you can learn alot from.
Living in China sounds like a big adventure to most Europeans, any funny story that comes to your mind?
mouz.SaSe:Sure but nothing I wanna tell really xD. I dont like write things about others

现在Sase正在上海参加第四届StarsWar，这是中国最大的War3赛事。当有着Grubby和Insomnia的第一个欧洲队伍"天行者"被淘汰出局时，4K^ToD和mouz.SaSe所在的第二个欧洲队伍"浪漫精灵"却已经进入了总决赛。
而我们有幸找到了他们两位，并对Sase采访了一些关于比赛的情况、他们对决赛的有什么预测以及他们在中国生活得怎样。
今年的Starwar是第一次在一个游戏盛会（即ChinaJoy）上举行，你对此有什么看法？
SaSe：我十分喜欢这项赛事，能够参加是我的荣幸。我并不知道这次比赛是在这个游戏盛会上举行（这看起来很像德国的Games Convention）。现场非常的闹但是不知为何这也并没有那么影响我，除此之外情况都还不错，比如说温度不冷不热刚刚好。而且我一直都觉得在Fans面前打比赛很有趣。在此我想感谢Zax，是他举办了这项赛事。
注：Games Convention是欧洲最大的电玩展。
你刚在半决赛里赢了中国的麒麟队从而进军到了明天开始的总决赛。你感觉怎么样？
SaSe：我在今天早晨想了一堆对TeD的打法。我们到得太早了，但如此一来我就可以去用等待的时间做好准备。比赛时我将建造顺序尽可能做到最好，在十分钟后我有了很大的优势，接下来我把这一直保持到比赛结束。然后ToD也赢了剩下的比赛，我也不用再上场了。
昨天你们俩用极好的表现使观众对你们感到惊叹。Sase，你战胜了Moon，ToD击败了Lucifer，你对你自己如此出众的表现是否感到惊讶？
SaSe：我对这场比赛想了很多，同时我也做好了一切对阵Moon和Sai的准备（虽然我并不打算拔起我的树）。我得感谢Zeus在我要跟Fly打时的一些小提示，我在比赛的时候感到十分开心，我想这应该就是我能取得胜利的最大原因吧。
现在你们进入了总决赛，这样可以复活一位欧洲队员加入你们的队伍，你想应该会是谁呢？
SaSe：嗯，正如ToD所说应该会是Grubby。其他的应该没什么希望。
你和ToD几个月前决定搬到中国来住，而且看起来至今你们似乎很满意。能给我们讲讲这几个月里你在中国的生活吗？
SaSe：虽然搬过来了但我也只有大概70%的时间住在这儿。最近几个月我几乎都在练习。但有时也会陪陪我的好朋友和女朋友。而我在瑞典的时候就很无聊。我的一天一般就是，起床，吃饭，找人练习，大约打个十盘左右。然后再吃饭，接下来一直练习到我觉得累了的时候，然后再做点别的事情，做完了就睡觉。
很多人对你会搬到一个众所周知网络条件很差的国家感到奇怪，难道这里真的明显利大于弊吗？
SaSe：我不认为这有他们想的那样糟糕。所谓的缺点就是你在VS平台上打的话，它和GGC（Global Game Center）有点像，但比起GGC来要好多了，感觉就像局域网一样。但你在GGC上打的话，就算你只有30的ping，但仍会让你明显感觉到有延迟，这感觉就像是有200ping一样。不过这比在欧洲练习好多了，中国玩家在线上练习的很多，连打10盘也不休息也是常事。但在欧洲的话，很多玩家打3盘左右就不打了。而且我想说中国玩家的实力也要好得多，有很多不知名的玩家非常厉害，能让你从他们那里学到很多东西。
在中国居住对欧洲人来说听起来就像一个大冒险，能不能说说你在中国的趣事？
SaSe：当然可以，但……我真的觉得没什么可说的，我不喜欢写关于别人的事情。
